Day 2: Works on Paper/Walk through Florence/Boboli Gardens

First day of classes: Works on Paper with Andy DeCaen.
After a presentation/discussion about "Paper as Context, Object, Surface, Module, and Matrix"... we spent the morning experimenting with manipulating paper in a variety of ways at  the the beautiful SRISA print studios...  After a break for lunch, we met up at the heart of the old city between the the  Santa Maria del Fiore (or Duomo) and the Battistero Di San Giovanni...
The Duomo (Cathedral) through a fish eye.

The Baptistry as seen from the same location as the famous early one-point
perspective view that Brunelleschi drew in the early 15th Century to illustrate his techniques for linear perspective.
...and we walked to the Boboli Gardens to draw for a few hours in this sprawling renaissance garden.
