Day 12-13: Weekend Adventures:
Weekends are wonderful time for students to set their own pace in Florence, work in the SRISA studios, or make short self-guided trips outside of Florence. This weekend a few students went to the Cinque Terre on the west coast, others to Rome, and still others to Fiesole.
Susan, Brandon, Anika, Morgan, and Mariana spent the day in Fiesole, after a
Sunday
morning spent shopping at the local market, hiking up beautiful narrow
streets and exploring the Roman and Etruscan ruins. A German choir sang
Bohemian Rhapsody in the Roman amphitheater ... hard to believe this is
a 15 minute bus ride away from Florence.

Mediterranean coast at the Cinque Terre. This line of five small fishing villages is a short train ride north west of Florence. Are beaches, places to hike, and take in some great seafood.
